| A few weeks ago marked the of October, and with it Halloween. Lincoln Southwest's Student Council hosted its annual Frighting Hunger event for local kids to experience a safe trick-or-treating environment filled with Halloween fun. The event took place October 29, and featured booths run by clubs from around the school. A few of the clubs that helped to create this event were FBLA, FCCLA, Latino Caucus, Stand for the Silent, and Service Learning Club among others, and they had great activities ranging from "Witch Fingers" to "Halloween Spiders." Student Council used the event as a continuation of the food banks annual Halloween food drive. At the door we asked people entering to donate a can of food if they could, and we ended up collecting another half a barrel of food, a great addition to what we had previously turned in. |
